Hebrews 9:28 NLT
so also Christ was offered once for all time as a sacrifice to take away the sins of many people. He will come again, not to deal with our sins, but to bring salvation to all who are eagerly waiting for him.
Recalling what was shared yesterday during cell group meeting about walking in Christ blameless till Jesus comes again (1 Thessalonians 3:9-13), I thought about how the residents of the neighbourhood continuously strive to do well in order to qualify for every year's bursaries. They saw the prize ahead of them and they strained towards it.
Looking at the report cards and the varying remarks they had on them to motivate their children to grow in all aspects, it reminds me of what our report card might look like if God were to write them each year for us to motivate us to grow in all aspects of our lives here on earth.
Kinda reminds me of what Paul wrote in Philippians 3:13b-14
"Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us."
Are there things in our lives that hinder us from straining towards the goal?
May our race be fuelled by Him, leaving aside the past filthy emissions and potholes on the road. Amen!
