It's been some time since my last reflection and my has it been a journey!
Taking on my new responsibilities in a new-found job and environment has given me perspective on what I have gone through and how I envision myself to grow and mature in the Lord.
The new place was started by Christians, employs Christians and encompasses Christian values and teachings in the music sessions they instruct. In fact, the company was first set-up by members of my church's worship team back in 2000 and have been training people to appreciate and learn music ever since.
Yesterday, I was involved in another great move - the move from their flagship location to a place in town, surprisingly the same location as the one they first began at!

Their motto "Take It Higher" encourages me to spur on despite the setbacks as I approach challenges in the way I have never done so before. With scars and regrets, I move forward willingly seeking transformation.
Moving forward requires letting go of old baggage. I cannot afford to be the same as I was yesterday. I have to change. I have to make my stand. I have to step up to the plate and give God my best and only my best.

In Hebrews 12:1-3 (NIV), it says, "Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles.
And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith.
For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart."
So, how can I back down? I want to give my all without compromising holiness. I strive to make my boss proud and be an example for Christ.
My prayer is that the joy I have found in Jesus will never fade and will only grow stronger and more fervent, especially in these last days. I desire to see Jesus face-to-face and hear Him say, "Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!" (Matthew 25:23 NIV)
