John 3:3 NCV
Jesus answered, “I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot be in God’s kingdom."
Renewal is not something we can do on our own strength. We do not have the right steps to follow in renewing the mind. Only the Spirit of God can do that. What more renewal of the Spirit? Jesus then goes on to explain to Nicodemus the Pharisee about being born again in the Spirit. It is only then that God can enable you to begin a relationship with the Father and draw strength from Him to renew.
Even if we tap into the vast knowledge of this world or of God but do not allow God to renew and refresh us from the inside, we will not enter the Kingdom of God and enter into His blessing and promises.
Search me Lord and surface anything that hinders You from reaching me and engaging me in the Spirit. Make me new this day and everyday so that I can be teachable and listen for Your voice. Amen.
